The brothers of U.S. Navy Cmdr. L. John Regelbrugge III, 49, found his body Tuesday, making the Regelbrugge one of at least 24 people killed in the Washington state mudslide. Regelbrugge was a California native who spent 32 years in the Navy, serving some of that time at Naval Station North Island in San Diego.

The Navy is investigating a shooting at Naval Station Norfolk that left two men dead - one a sailor and one a civilian. According to the Navy, the killing of the sailor took place aboard the USS Mahan late Monday night. Naval security forces then killed the civilian believed to be the assailant.
