The husband of a Chula Vista woman who remains missing more than nine months after disappearing from her home is slated to appear in court Thursday on a murder charge.

San Diego County public health officials reported 441 new cases of COVID-19 and eight virus-related deaths Wednesday.

The lawsuit was filed last month in San Diego federal court, hours after Mayor Todd Gloria signed the ordinance.

Officials with the U.S. Department of Transportation issued a statement in response to Southwest's cancellations, noting that the department will be looking into the situation.

The National Weather Service has issued an excessive-heat warning, effective from 10 a.m. Tuesday to 8 p.m. next Monday.
