Pat Finn
ProducerPat Finn previously served as a producer for KPBS Midday Edition and KPBS Evening Edition. Finn began her career in broadcasting at KTLA and KCET in Los Angeles. In 1979 she became KPBS’ Public Information Director, then Director of Advertising and Promotion, Program Director, and Director of Broadcasting. She oversaw the station’s local and national productions, including the one-hour documentary Los Romeros: The Royal Family of the Guitar, and Child Protective Services, a one-hour look inside the San Diego County agency responsible for the welfare of at risk children. Both programs also aired on public television stations nationwide. Finn has earned honors from the Society of Professional Journalists and the Pacific Southwest Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.

The Einstein Academy charter school in South Park was shocked to discover that its elementary and middle school students, who were sailing along in math, couldn't handle algebra. So the school found a new approach, which so far has proved successful.

Three times since September, SDSU has been given increased enrollment targets from the CSU system for this academic year. The current target is 27,999 full time students. The increase will happen in the spring semester. We find out how SDSU plans to get more than 6,000 new students here, where they will come from and what affect this may have on the graduation rate. -
In April, 2010, the Coastal Commission rejected the Port's plan for the Embarcadero as not containing enough open space. The Port has negotiated an agreement with the Broadway Complex Coalition for a new plan. The cornerstone of this new plan is that the developer of the hotel for Lane Field has agreed to a 150' setback from Harbor Drive, which will be parkland.
