Tom Fudge: T. Jefferson Parker has been writing crime novels for many years and his milieu is Southern California. Many of his stories are set in Orange and San Diego counties. As a resident of Fallbrook, Jeff’s last novel was a murder-mystery called The Fallen , whose main character was a San Diego cop.

His new novel is called Storm Runners . Its main character is a police detective named Matt Stromsoe, and early in the story, Matt’s wife and son were murdered in a bomb blast that was meant to kill Matt. As he recovers from his injuries and his depression, he picks up some work as a bodyguard for a TV weather woman in San Diego. Matt’s new client is being stalked and we soon learn that this is no ordinary weather girl, in fact, she is the descendent of a legendary rainmaker and she has a powerful secret that has some very bad guys pursuing her.
