His new novel is called Storm Runners . Its main character is a police detective named Matt Stromsoe, and early in the story, Matt’s wife and son were murdered in a bomb blast that was meant to kill Matt. As he recovers from his injuries and his depression, he picks up some work as a bodyguard for a TV weather woman in San Diego.
