California Seeks to Play Larger Role in Presidential Nomination

California voters could have a bigger voice when it comes to choosing the next president of the United States. Find out how on Thursday’s Full Focus, at 6:30 and 11 pm, on KPBS Television, channel 15, cable 11.

In the past, when it came to choosing presidential candidates to lead the party tickets, Californians had no say. That's because by the time the Golden State held its primary in June the candidates had been determined. Now state lawmakers want to hold the presidential primary in early February so California votes will make a difference. Full Focus explores the pros and cons of the proposal.
