Alan Ray: Picture Michelangelo's David, but with your husband or boyfriend's face. Conceptual artist Eleanor Antin has super-sized the idea with a new series of large-scale tableaux photographs using modern, live humans in recreations of classic Greek and Roman historic and mythological themes and works. Many of the photographs were staged in San Diego and La Jolla. The San Diego Museum of Art presents the series in a solo exhibition titled Eleanor Antin: Historical Takes .
