What is the best new music from 2008? Looking for some albums to give as gifts this Christmas? We'll talk with Chris Cantore about his picks and listen to the best that 2008 had to offer in music.

Tom Fudge: Popular and new music is an ever changing landscape, with new names of artists and bands. It's hard to keep up. So during this part of our show, we're going to introduce you to some new tunes, and introduce you to the artists who play them. You never know, you might hear something that could be a good Christmas gift. Joining me in this adventure is Chris Cantore. He has covered the music scene for more than 15 years as a San Diego DJ, writer and online content provider. We'll discuss the following bands and their 2008 releases: Ratatat, Bon Iver, Q-Tip, Elbow, Why?, Aaron Parks, and Glasvegas.
