As we approach the end of 2011, KPBS is taking a look back on those stories that impacted San Diegans. Today, a look at San Diego's top science and technology stories that made headlines with KPBS Science and Technology Reporter Peggy Pico.
2011 was a big year for innovations in science and technology in San Diego and beyond, from the Vatican going "green" to innovations right here in San Diego's biotech community. KPBS reporter Peggy Pico joins us to break down these stories and also to share her own big "personal" story: battling breast cancer. And we'll have an update on how she's doing.
