Obama Steps Up Rhetoric on Military Response to Libya

President Obama today kicked up a notch the warnings against Gadhafi, cautioning the Libyan leader that the United States and its allies are willing and able to use military force if necessarily.

USA Today reported that after meeting with Australian Prime Minister Julia Gillard, Obama told reporters:

“We’ve got NATO as we speak consulting in Brussels around a wide range of potential options, including potential military options, in response to the violence that continues to take place inside of Libya…It is their (Gadhafi’s supporters) choice to make how they operate moving forward and they will be held accountable for whatever violence continues to take place there.” (Read more)
