Thursday, May 31, 2012
Members of the Marine Corps battalion infamous for being videotaped urinating on Taliban corpses are the subject of another military investigation.
The four Marines shown in the urination video were assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 2nd Marines at Camp Lejeune in North Carolina.
The Associated Press reports the initial investigation into the urination video prompted yet another probe into additional improper behavior by members of the 3/2.
According to the A.P.:
[Marine] spokesman Col. Sean D. Gibson declined to provide details of the possible additional misbehavior. He said the decision to follow up was made by Lt. Gen. Richard Mills, deputy commandant for combat development and integration.
The results of the initial investigations into the urination video have not yet been released.
