'Trust Game' To Blame In Marine's Death? (Video)

Marine Lance Cpl. Cody Scott Schoenfelder, just 19, died Saturday morning from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. But police suspect it wasn't a suicide, but rather an accidental shooting during a game called "Trust."

The shooting took place Friday evening at Marine Barracks Washington, according to the Washington Post:

Investigators are exploring the possibility that a gun accidentally discharged as the Marines were playing the game “Trust,” in which one points a weapon at the other, according to those two officials and a third person in law enforcement, all of whom spoke on the condition of anonymity because the investigation is ongoing.

The Military Times reports Schoenfelder grew up in South Dakota. He joined the Marines in January 2012, and moved to Marine Barracks Washington in October.
