How to help children deal with scarey news from PBS.
Sandra Millers Younger survived the 2003 Cedar Fire, but barely. She tells her story in The Fire Outside My Window. Younger and her husband were awakened in the middle of the night by flames raging through their Wildcat Canyon neighborhood. Their home was completely destroyed but they have rebuilt. She shares her experience and address the fear many San Diegans are feeling as they relive memories from the 2003 and 2007 wildfires.
