Cooler Temps Bring Relief To San Diego County Over The Weekend

A slow cooling trend will begin in San Diego County Friday, though temperatures will still be above average, meteorologists said.

The National Weather Service said highs Friday will be 8 to 18 degrees above average along the coast, 13 to 20 degrees above average in the valleys, 6 to 14 degrees above average in the mountains and 8 to 14 degrees above average in the deserts.

Friday's forecast called for highs of 81 to 86 degrees near the coast, 87 to 92 inland, 91 to 96 degrees in the valleys, 83 to 91 in the mountains and 103 to 108 in the deserts.

By Saturday, it's expected to be 2 to 5 degrees above average along the coast, 3 to 8 degrees above average in the valleys and 4 to 9 degrees above average in both the mountains and deserts.

"By Sunday, temperatures will be near seasonal averages for all areas with night and morning low clouds returning to areas west of the mountains,'' the NWS said.
