Violent protests close Oceanside Schools

Middle schools and high schools are closed in Oceanside today and tomorrow. This follows outbreaks of violence during immigration-related protests this week. KPBS Reporter Amita Sharma has more.

Middle schools and high schools are closed in Oceanside today and tomorrow. This follows outbreaks of violence during immigration-related protests this week.

Three Oceanside teenagers were arrested yesterday for allegedly throwing chunks of concrete at police who then fired pepper spray at protesters. There were also arrests in Imperial Beach as authorities urged students to stay in school.
