Middle class exodus increases economic segregation in cities
A study by the Brookings Institution finds a dramatic change in the economic makeup of American cities that has occurred in recent decades. As the middle class leaves urban areas, it leaves behind a polarized society of rich and poor. Where are middle class people going, what's causing this trend, and what does this mean for the health and social cohesion of cities?
