San Diego Food Bank Works to Restore Its Image

Recent articles in the
San Diego Union-Tribune
showed the San Diego Food Bank has serious problems with oversight. Much of the Food Bank’s food was being handed over to people who were selling it at a profit. The Food Bank also has a difficult relationship with its parent organization, called Neighborhood House. Many supporters of the Food Bank want to break away from Neighborhood House. But the parent group won’t part with valuable assets the Food Bank needs for its operation.
