Maureen Cavanaugh (Guest Host): In the effort to reduce the effects of global climate change, there's been a lot of emphasis on reducing CO2 emissions. While that's still key, there is a growing amount of research indicating that's not all we need to worry about. Air pollutants known as aerosols not only affect our health, but may determine how quickly our climate changes, and where those changes will occur. Joining us now is Kim Prather, a UCSD chemistry and biochemistry professor, to tell us about aerosols and their potential to harm us and our environment.
Kim Prather will be speaking about climate, air pollution, and human health this evening, Tuesday, April 10, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the San Diego Museum of Natural History.
