Tom Fudge: This past Labor Day weekend in San Diego was remarkable for a very unpleasant reason – it was hot. Very, very hot. Several spots in East County broke temperature records as the mercury exceeded 100 degrees. Power outages were common, as were the curses of people enduring the heat.
