Maureen Cavanaugh : Here in Southern California, they say, everybody's writing a screenplay. That's a bit of an exaggeration, but it is true a lot of people think they have a great idea for the next Hollywood blockbuster. What many would-be filmmakers forget is that writing for the screen is an art-form in itself.
As we continue our series of interviews with the featured guests at this year's Writers Symposium by the Sea, we welcome screenwriter David Paterson to These Days. He co-wrote the screenplay, from the celebrated children's book, for the movie "The Bridge to Teribithia." It's a story that has been an amazing force in David Paterson's personal and professional life.
