Solar Industry Well-Positioned to Survive Economic Downturn

Maureen Cavanaugh: The solar industry in San Diego is in a curious situation during this recession. It's being hit by the same downturn that's forcing layoffs and belt tightening in other sectors of the economy. But solar power is looking to come into its own, with big boosts from the state and federal governments. So there may be light at the end of the tunnel, if the solar industry can just hold on during through a dark economy.
