Pres. Obama addresses the nation in a prime-time news conference to talk about the economy. KPBS Political Correspondent Gloria Penner brings us some analysis.

Obama Addresses the Economy

Maureen Cavanaugh : President Barack Obama has been on television a lot lately. First, Jay Leno, then "60 Minutes." And last night, a prime-time news conference.

The president is trying in as many ways possible to bring his plan to fix the economy to the public, hoping support for the plan will grow and most of it will be approved by Congress. During the Tuesday news conference, the president fielded lots of questions about the economy and foreign affairs.
