One of the Navy SEALs responsible for taking down Osama Bin Laden is publishing a book about the mission, according to the New York Times.
Called “No Easy Day: The Firsthand Account of the Mission That Killed Osama bin Laden,” the book is scheduled to be released on September 11.
The Navy SEAL who wrote the book, using the pseudonym "Mark Owen," has retired from the service after completing 13 combat deployments.
So, just how does an anonymous author promote a book? According to the Times:
The author will appear in disguise during television interviews to promote the book. At least one major network prime-time appearance has been planned, a person familiar with the plans said, and during interviews on television and radio, the author’s voice will be altered.
With all the recent complaints about the Obama administration allegedly leaking information to Hollywood for the movie version of the Bin Laden raid, how do you feel about the fact one of the actual participants of the mission has written a book about the experience?
