From Shakespearean comedy and contemporary dramas that explore political, religious and personal complexities to concerts featuring the best and brightest in classical music, plus acrobatic felines, here are this weekend’s highlights:

San Diego Rep’s “In the Wake” opens Friday and runs through March 4 at the Lyceum Theatre in downtown.

The Chicago Symphony Orchestra performs Sunday at Copley Symphony Hall in downtown.

Next Fall” opens Saturday and runs through March 25 at the Diversionary Theatre in University Heights.

Pianist Jonathan Biss performs Friday at MCASD’s Sherwood Auditorium in La Jolla.

Comedy of Errors” runs now through March 4 at New Village Arts Theatre in Carlsbad.

The Amazing Acro-Cats perform tonight through Sunday at the Jewish Community Center’s Garfield Theatre in La Jolla.
