3. Watchmen . Best graphic novel ever? There have been rumors that this was going to be made into a movie for as long as I can remember. And now it's really happening. I think I trust Zack Snyder not to screw it up. 300 was a graphic novel too. (I know, not a TV panel. It'll be on TV some day.) Panel: Friday 11:55am, Hall H
4. Chuck. Chuck never asked for all of our country's covert intel to be jammed into his brain. Did I mention his CIA agent handler ( Yvonne Strahovski ) is HOT? One of my favorite shows of 2007. & Panel: Sat 3:30pm, Hall H
5. Wizard's First Rule . A new Sam Raimi ( Spiderman, Evil Dead ) project for the small screen. I loved Hercules and Xena . The show is based on Terry Goodkind's bestselling epic fantasy series The Sword of Truth . (Never read it.) & Panel: Thu 3pm, Room 6B
6. Heroes . This is the perfect TV show for Comic-Con. A bunch of beautiful people find out they have special powers. Three years ago they previewed a rough cut of their pilot. Now we get to see season 3. Panel: Sat 10:45am, Hall H
7. [adult swim] This year they're focusing on Venture Brother s and Robot Chicken . Robot Chicken's Star Wars spoofs are some of the funniest clips I've ever seen. [adult swim] is way out in front... everyone in new media is looking to them to see what's next. & 2 Panels (back to back): Fri 5:30pm, Room 6B
8. HBO's True Blood . Vampires don't have to kill people in order to survive anymore... they can buy a tasty, tasty beverage instead. & Panel: Thu 4:30pm, Room 6CDEF
9. Dollhouse . New TV show from Joss Whedon ( Buffy, Ange l) starring Eliza Dushku (Buffy, Tru Calling, Super Hot). Specially prepared youngsters have different personalities mapped onto them to fulfill clients' dreams. I'll let you know how it goes... it looks like they could have a cool origin story unfolding. & Panel: Sat 1pm, Ballroom 20
10. Mystery Science Theater 3000 20th Anniversary Reunion . I love to heckle bad movies. These guys did it best. Joel is one of my high school heroes. & Reunion: Fri 7:15pm, Room 6B
I'm planning on making all of these... only the dash from Lost to Dollhouse will be tricky. So if you see me running at 12:55pm on Saturday, make way. I'm the 5'10" big guy, goatee, glasses, quirky t-shirt with a robot... okay, okay, so I just described 23% of the attendees. & If you are planning to attend any panels at Comic-Con, be there early. If it's one of the really big ones - Hall H or Ballroom 20 - you might even want to go to the panel before. Consider yourself warned.
