Comic-Con hasn't always been a hot spot for celebrities, but for me the reasons for the show's huge success can be found in small moments like this one. Five years ago, Angelina Jolie visited Comic-Con to hype a Tomb Raider movie. The appearance of such a well known actress prompted rumors spreading like wildfire. At one point, everyone seemed sure that she was going to appear in character and be lowered from a helicopter into the sails section of the convention center. That was obviously a ridiculous pipe dream, but not to a group of dedicated fans who lined up in the early morn for a chance to get Jolie's autograph.
