Once Upon A Mulberry Field
Once Upon a Mulberry Field
Thirty-nine years ago the city of Saigon fell to the communist forces of North Vietnam. It was a historic milestone for both Vietnam and the U.S., and it was the event that drove (C.L.) Jim Hoang and his family to the United States. Hoang's story in the U.S. is one of an immigrant made good.
He grew up in California, attended Cal Berkeley and became an electrical engineer with 11 patents. More recently he's worked hard to explore the history of his native land of Vietnam, and he's used fiction as the vehicle to do it.
