San Diego State University was selected today to host early-round games of the 2014 Division 1 men's college basketball tournament, the NCAA announced today.
Eight teams will come to San Diego for the first weekend of the NCAA Tournament at Viejas Arena. The tentative dates for the second and third rounds of play are Friday, March 21, 2014, and Sunday, March 23.
It will be the third time that NCAA Tournament games are conducted at SDSU. The previous occasions were 2001 and 2006.
Teams belonging to host schools are not allowed to play on their home floor, should they qualify.
Ticket information will be released at a later date.
