Only Critical Camp Pendleton Workers Required To Work Due To Flooding

Only critical personnel were required to report to work today at Camp Pendleton due to flooding brought on by the torrential rains in San Diego County, base officials said.

The following Camp Pendleton roads were closed today due to flooding and other weather-related conditions:

-- Stuart Mesa Road at Vandergrift Boulevard; north of Stuart Mesa Bridge and between Las Flores and Las Pulgas Road;

-- The northern portion of San Mateo Road that leads into Camp Telega; Vandergrift Boulevard near bell/Isadora Flats;

-- and westbound Las Pulgas Road near the 43 Area fire station.

Entry points San Luis Ray, Las Pulgas, Del Mar, Cristianitos and the Main gate will be open at their regular times, base officials said.
