Kosovo will be independent, but not quite yet – that's the message the Bush administration gave a group of Kosovo politicians Monday in Washington, D.C.
The delegation arrived just days after the United States and Europe gave up on resolving Kosovo's status at the United Nations, facing a veto threat from Russia.
Now another intensive period of diplomacy will begin in a final attempt to get an international agreement on Kosovo's future.
