In Colombia, thousands of people have been kidnapped by Marxist rebels over the years. Gustavo Moncayo's son is among the captives, seized 10 years ago. Moncayo has taken action to raise awareness about the ongoing problem.
He trekked across the country to the capital — a walk that has been compared to that of the title character in the Forrest Gump film — and drew more attention and fame as he went. Recently, thousands of people turned out to hear him speak in Bogota's central square, and millions more watched on TV. But the captives remain in rebel hands.
Moncayo says he still hasn't done everything humanly possible to free his son.
