President Bush is in Australia for the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation summit, after dropping by an air base in Iraq on Monday.
After the Iraq visit, aboard Air Force One, President Bush elaborated on the remarks he had made, hinting at the possibility of reduced U.S. troop levels.
The annual economic summit, hosted by Prime Minister John Howard, is in Sydney. Howard is seeking another term in office but, because of his strong support for the Iraq war, trails his opponent in the polls.
