Over the last decade, SUVs have been the largest cause of the increase in worldwide carbon emissions, according to research from the International Energy Agency.

After the popularity of SUVs exploded in the U.S., it spread to Europe and now, China.

Oliver Milman wrote in The Guardian newspaper about the dire impact of sport utility vehicles, or SUVs, on the environment.
