Hollywood and PTSD

Interesting blog post from from the Oregonian's Mike Francis from a while back on the way Hollywood treats post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Mike, who writes semi-regularly about PTSD, has barely scratched the surface here, he's left out a whole bunch of movies, including a few that pre-dated Vietnam.

Still, it's an interesting and worthy piece about arguably the most important issue in this war. PTSD is something that affects literally hundreds of thousands of troops, and Hollywood - as well as the general public - are both just beginning to really get a firm grasp of what it is and how significant a problem it represents.

Hopefully Mike will revisit this topic in his blog. But rest assured, it's a topic I address regularly here. Mike writes:.
