A ceremony at the Air Ground Combat Center Marine base in Twentynine Palms was held Tuesday to debut a state-of-the-art “mock city” roughly equivalent in size to downtown San Diego that was constructed to practice and refine the complex and dangerous combat tactics Marines use while deployed to urban settings around the world, according to the Marine Corps.
