Breaking News: Obama Gives the OK for Military Trials to Resume at Gitmo

President Obama announced today that he will end a two-year ban on military trials at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. Obama released the following statement just minutes ago:

The Associated Press scooped the president's announcement by a half-hour or so, reporting on the change at Guantanamo and naming an anonymous senior military official as providing the information.

Here's Defense Secretary Robert Gates' statement on the resumption of military trials at Guantanamo:
