It's been a day since the Navy has released any new information on the Sailor who is missing from the USS Boxer. The Sailor, whose identity hasn't been publicly released (though the next-of-kin was notified), is thought to have gone overboard while the Boxer was conducting maritime security operations on July 26. The search has been ongoing ever since.
The latest news release from the Navy, published yesterday, reported:
The Facebook page for the USS Boxer is filled with expressions of worry, hope and grief from family members of the crew. Home Post has also been fortunate enough to be an outlet for loved ones of the Boxer crew.
