Navy SEAL Jon Tumilson was one of 30 American servicemembers killed in Afghanistan August 6 when their helicopter was shot down by Afghan insurgents. Tumilson was also the owner of Hawkeye the dog, who captured hearts everywhere when a photograph of him lying next to his master's coffin went viral.
Today Jon's family in Iowa and Illinois spoke with television station WQAD-TV about their son and brother, and what he stood for. They also talked about the amazing bond between Jon and his "son" Hawkeye. The video is posted below.
