Veteran war journalist and longtime CBS anchor Dan Rather visited the USS Carl Vinson this past weekend. Rather was interviewing Sailors and shooting footage for his HDNet program "Dan Rather Reports." The USS Vinson Facebook page says the program featuring footage from Rather's Vinson visit will air March 27th.
Here's a slideshow of Rather's visits. (Can you believe he's 80?) Based on the numerous comments on the Vinson's Facebook page, the crew was thrilled to have him aboard.
