Death Of Army Officer In Qatar Under Investigation (Video)

The Army is investigating the "non-combated related" death of 1st Sgt. Tracy L. Stapley, 44, who died on July 3 at Camp As Sayliyah in Qatar, according to the Department of Defense.

Stapley was from Clearfield, Utah. He was assigned to the 308th Medical Logistics Company at Saint George in Utah.

Capt. Chad Nixon, spokesman for Stapley’s command, told the Salt Lake City Tribune:

"It’s a terrible thing to hear, especially on a Fourth of July weekend."

According to Salt Lake City television station KSL-TV, Stapley was married. His son is currently attending the U.S. Military Academy at West Point:
