The Parade Check-in begins at 11 a.m. under the iconic Gaslamp Quarter Archway, where participants can also register their pets for the judging contest. A panel of experts will award prizes in categories like Best Christmas Spirit, Best Matching Costumes, and the coveted Best in Show. At 1 p.m., the parade sets off beneath the Archway, weaving through the historic Gaslamp Quarter with festive live music, cheering onlookers, and plenty of holiday spirit. Expect to see Santa Paws, dazzling costumes, and even pets dressed as your favorite movie characters in fur-form! Pups in the Pub Party After the parade, keep the tails wagging at the Pups in the Pub Party from 2–4 p.m. at the Hilton San Diego Gaslamp Quarter.   • Honor the lives of loved ones at Día de los Muertos with the Imperial Beach Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department and the San Diego County Library. Enjoy a Ballet Folklórico performance by Mar Vista High School, Mariachi by Southwest High School, face painting, sugar skull decorating, Ribbons of Remembrance, food trucks, and more! In honor of Día de los Muertos, we invite the community to take part in creating a shared altar, celebrating the lives of loved ones who have passed. Guests are welcome to contribute a photo to the altar: - Photos must be 4x6 or smaller - Photos only- no other items may be placed on the alter - We recommend bringing a copy rather than an original, as the altar will be respectfully removed at the end of the event.
