Welcome to the 2024 SDPL Short Story Contest, our 7th annual contest, sponsored by the Friends of San Diego Central Library. The Short Story Contest, a part of the Local Author Program, continues the support that the Library provides to local writing, and shines a spotlight on local authors who craft short stories. This year we will be accepting 100 stories! Stories must be a maximum of 3,000 words long, and there will be no more stories accepted after we receive the 100th submission.
