The experiential pop-up gallery will be open to the public from April 8 – June 17, with a grand opening celebration taking place on April 18. The figurative series explores multifaceted identities, illustrated by the illusion of overlapping transparent colors made entirely from cut and pasted tape. When visitors enter the gallery, they will feel like they are stepping into one of Stieber’s colorful, sparkling paintings and can engage with a host of experiential features. Visitors can step into a custom Polaroid photo ‘art booth’ adorned with colored transparencies to snap Polaroids of themselves, creating instant self-portraits in Stieber’s signature style and becoming part of the art themselves.
