TYP is holding auditions for "Natasha, Pierre, and the Great Comet of 1812," our first show of the 2026 season, on Monday, November 10 from 4:30 p.m. - 9 p.m. at our rehearsal space at 7960 University Ave, Suite 240/250, La Mesa CA 91942. Callbacks are by invitation only on Tuesday, November 11 from 4:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. This show is for actors 12 years old and older. To register for an audition time, please email your headshot and resume to Jessica at jessica@typsandiego.org. Please prepare a one-minute song selection in a musical theater style. You will sing with a backing track that you provide. NO cappella auditions. Please check-in 15 minutes prior to your audition time. We will consider video auditions. **If you have been in one of our shows over the past year, then you are not required to audition. However, you must send us an email indicating your interest. You will be invited straight to callbacks. We are looking for a diverse cast to bring this popular musical to life. We will consider double casting some of the roles if needed. Come sing, dance, and act as you perform in "Moana Jr.", based on the popular DISNEY movie! This class is open for kids 7-14 years old and are taught by award winning theater professionals. This thrilling and heartwarming coming-of-age story follows the strong-willed Moana as she sets sail across the Pacific to save her village and discover the truth about her heritage. Moana and the legendary demigod Maui embark on an epic journey of self-discovery and camaraderie as both learn to harness the power that lies within. With empowering messages of bravery and selflessness, "Moana Jr." is sure to bring out the hero within each of us. Auditions and callbacks will be on the first day of rehearsal, so you will leave knowing your role! Every person will have a named role and lines.
