  • TYP is holding auditions for "Natasha, Pierre, and the Great Comet of 1812," our first show of the 2026 season, on Monday, November 10 from 4:30 p.m. - 9 p.m. at our rehearsal space at 7960 University Ave, Suite 240/250, La Mesa CA 91942. Callbacks are by invitation only on Tuesday, November 11 from 4:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. This show is for actors 12 years old and older. To register for an audition time, please email your headshot and resume to Jessica at jessica@typsandiego.org. Please prepare a one-minute song selection in a musical theater style. You will sing with a backing track that you provide. NO cappella auditions. Please check-in 15 minutes prior to your audition time. We will consider video auditions. **If you have been in one of our shows over the past year, then you are not required to audition. However, you must send us an email indicating your interest. You will be invited straight to callbacks. We are looking for a diverse cast to bring this popular musical to life. We will consider double casting some of the roles if needed. Moana and the legendary demigod Maui embark on an epic journey of self-discovery and camaraderie as both learn to harness the power that lies within.
