MPact Global hosts the 3rd annual cross-border International HIV Kiss-In, a bold public demonstration celebrating the sexuality, visibility, and rights of queer people living with HIV and queer migrants. Featuring a symbolic kiss between two HIV-positive men, the event highlights ongoing stigma, human rights violations, and health inequities faced by queer migrants on both sides of the U.S.-Mexico border. Over the course of six weeks, they’ll learn safety practices, stitching basics, machine navigation, and troubleshooting, while growing more confident in their technical abilities. As they explore idea development and practice foundational skills, students will create both functional and decorative pieces. The class wraps up with fun and functional final projects that showcase their creativity and growth.
