  • Premieres Sundays, March 19 - April 19, 2023 at 9 p.m. on KPBS TV / PBS App / Binge this fan-favorite series the day of its broadcast premiere with KPBS Passport on March 19. The third and final season returns viewers to the seaside resort of Sanditon for the conclusion of Charlotte and Georgiana’s stories. Drama, laughter and romance are all in store for the ensemble of new and returning characters.

  • After a two-year delay, Local Roots Hard Kombucha opens its much-anticipated “Boochyard” tap room in North County. Owned, brewed, and operated by cousins – Ryan White and Joe Carmichael – Local Roots will host a grand opening celebration on Saturday, March 26 from noon to 11:00 p.m. The all-day event will feature live music, giveaways, along with drink and food specials. The new 7,500-square-foot space (2,000 indoor and 5,500 outdoor patio) on the border of Vista and Carlsbad, will serve all products and flavors including favorites, such as: Cali Mule, Blood Orange Mimosa, Strawberry Mojito, Purple Haze, Island Vibes, Mai Tai, and a specialty Hop ‘N Citrus, collaboration with Second Chance Brew Co. Also debuting this spring is Local Roots’ Can-for-a-Cause to benefit the San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance. Launching April 1 with special can art, proceeds between April and June will be donated to the Alliance, an international, nonprofit conservation organization. The Boochyard is located at 1430 Vantage Court, Suite 101 in Vista (92081). Taproom hours are Tuesday through Thursday from 3:00 to 9:00 p.m., Fridays and Saturdays noon to 11:00 p.m. and Sundays noon to 9:00 p.m. Hard kombucha is an alcoholic beverage and consumers must be 21+ to buy.   • TuYo Theatre, a regional Latinx theatrical organization, is collaborating with CSU San Marcos, Turnkey Theatre and San Diego State University for an immersive, small group production of "On Her Shoulders We Stand." Written and directed by Patrice Amon. "On Her Shoulders We Stand" is a multi-sensory, immersive experience that brings audiences into a forgotten memory using the power of names to understand the role of Latinas in World War II. This 40-minute theatrical experience takes small groups of between 1 and 4 people through seven staged rooms to experience a performance focused on hidden community stories. Audience members collect mementos of their experience along the way and interact in tactile activities to deepen their experience and understanding of this piece.
