  • In partnership with the San Diego Blood Bank, The World Mission Society Church of God will be hosting a Blood Drive during the National Blood Donor Month in Santee on Sunday, Jan. 8, 2023. Members of the community are encouraged to volunteer their time donating blood in an effort to alleviate the shortage of blood supply in the San Diego County. The San Diego Blood Bank reports a critically low supply of blood donations due to shortages of raw materials that have impacted the inventory of single-use double red cell kits that collect crucial donations from rare blood types. As a result, “Double Red” collections stopped for 2-3 weeks, and blood banks suffered a 15% loss of rare blood donations. By uniting together with the San Diego Blood Bank, we can help maintain the 350 units of daily blood donations required to meet the needs of our community. The selfless act of donating blood can directly impact members of East County and we can participate in prospering our society. The World Mission Society Church of God and its volunteers carry out all initiatives with the heart of a mother who spares nothing for her children's lives. With a mother's love, we can achieve a more prosperous society! Link to sign up and donate: https://www.mysdbb.org/donor/schedules/drive_schedule/74319 Please ensure to select one of the following options: • WB - Whole Blood OR • 2RBC - Double Red Cell (for rare blood types) (Rare Blood Types: O+, O-, A- and B-) Then select appropriate time slot.
