Storytelling Institute: Learn the Art of Storytelling

Every week from January 24, 2023 until March 7, 2023.
Tuesday: 6:30 PM
Coronado Public Library
All Ages
Free

Have you always enjoyed telling stories? Ever considered storytelling in front of an audience? The Storytelling Institute, a free six-week course presented by the Storytellers of San Diego, is open to everyone who would like to hone their skills in this ancient art form. The Institute culminates in a storytelling slot for each participant at the San Diego Storytelling Festival here at the Coronado Public Library on March 18.

Registration is suggested (but not required, nor is attendance at every session). Please register for each session individually at cplevents.org. Each session builds on the previous one, so consistent attendance is advised especially if you would like to perform at the San Diego Storytelling Festival culminating event.

Syllabus:

Jan 24 - "Finding Your Story" with Storyteller Marilyn McPhee

Jan 31 -  "Learning Your Story" with Storyteller Patti Christensen

Feb 7 -  "Shaping Your Story" with "Aunt" Li-Anne Roswell Mufson
