  • The Grauer School, an independent school in Encinitas focused on Learning by Discovery®, will be hosting an Open House event for prospective students and families between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 2, 2024. During the event, attendees will enjoy a student-led tour of the campus and have the opportunity to meet some of the extraordinary students, teachers and parents. Attendees also can attend presentations to receive an introduction to the middle and high school programs from Principal Alicia Tembi, hear about the school’s philosophy and vision from the Head of School Dana Abplanalp-Diggs, M.Ed., and learn about the school’s history from founder Stuart Grauer, Ed.D. “At The Grauer School, we prioritize our students’ curiosity, independence and joy and value relationships above all else.
