  • Magic. Music. Mayhem. Fairy tales collide in Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine’s dazzling musical where wishes are granted and curses sing. Follow Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Jack (of beanstalk fame), and a Baker and his Wife on a wickedly witty adventure through the tangled woods of hope and heartbreak — with a spellbinding score and razor-sharp lyrics. As their paths intertwine with witches, giants, and princes, “happily ever after” begins to unravel, revealing what really happens when wishes come true. Don’t miss this Tony Award–winning classic that turns ‘once upon a time’ into something extraordinary. • As the sun dips to its lowest point in the sky, the Winter Solstice invites us into the stillness of the shortest day and the magic of the longest night. For thousands of years, cultures around the world have honored this turning point—celebrating the rebirth of the sun, the renewal of spirit, and the promise of returning light. On this powerful evening, we gather in community to reflect, release, and reconnect. Our drumming becomes a heartbeat—echoing the rhythm of the waves, reminding us that everything in nature moves together. Whether you come for spiritual grounding, creative expression, or simply to find joy, this circle welcomes you. This gathering offers a space of sacred ritual and meaningful connection—between you, the community, and the greater rhythms of the Earth. Join us for this luminous celebration on Saturday, December 20, from 4 to 5:30 p.m. at Moonlight Beach in Encinitas, near the facilities building. Enjoy a spacious free parking lot, nearby facilities, and the warmth of community. Bring your drum, your spirit, and something comfortable to sit on. All levels and all traditions are welcome. Come experience the magic of the Solstice by the sea. Free will offerings accepted to benefit the work of ICEJ - the Interfaith Coalition for Earth Justice. Fire Ritual: - Intention Setting: Write down what you’re ready to release and what you’re ready to invite in. - Sacred Fire: Offer both papers to the fire—one to let go, one to bless your new path. - Release & Manifest: Allow the flames to carry away what no longer serves you and ignite the intentions you’re ready to bring forth. • A delightfully witty valentine to the Golden Age of musicals, "The Drowsy Chaperone" bursts to life when a lonely theatre fan drops the needle on his favorite record and a musical extravaganza springs to life before his eyes! Dazzling dance numbers, bumbling gangsters, and a boozy chaperone fill the stage in this laugh-out-loud celebration of musical comedy. With terrific tunes, clever dialog, and irresistible charm, "The Drowsy Chaperone" is both a parody and a tribute to the joy of Broadway itself. Equal parts nostalgia and nonstop fun, it’s a sparkling love letter to the magic of theatre and those who adore it. This show is recommended for ages 10+ with mild language and adult themes For more ticket information contact the box office at (619) 435-4856 or email boxoffice@coronadoplayhouse.com. • In Agatha Christie’s legendary whodunit "The Mousetrap," a group of strangers find themselves trapped together in a remote country guesthouse while a police sergeant races to uncover which of them hides a deadly secret. With mounting tension, sharp wit, and one of the most famous twists in theatre history, "The Mousetrap" keeps audiences guessing until the final curtain. The world’s longest-running play remains a masterclass in suspense, inviting you to play detective—and discover why, after more than seventy years, the trap is still set to perfection. We ask that you preserve the mystery of "The Mousetrap" by not disclosing the identity of the murderer. Thank you for helping keep the tradition alive!
