Interfaith Winter Solstice Beach Drum Circle

As the sun dips to its lowest point in the sky, the Winter Solstice invites us into the stillness of the shortest day and the magic of the longest night. For thousands of years, cultures around the world have honored this turning point—celebrating the rebirth of the sun, the renewal of spirit, and the promise of returning light.

On this powerful evening, we gather in community to reflect, release, and reconnect. Our drumming becomes a heartbeat—echoing the rhythm of the waves, reminding us that everything in nature moves together. Whether you come for spiritual grounding, creative expression, or simply to find joy, this circle welcomes you.

This gathering offers a space of sacred ritual and meaningful connection—between you, the community, and the greater rhythms of the Earth.

Join us for this luminous celebration on Saturday, December 20, from 4 to 5:30 p.m. at Moonlight Beach in Encinitas, near the facilities building. Enjoy a spacious free parking lot, nearby facilities, and the warmth of community.

Bring your drum, your spirit, and something comfortable to sit on. All levels and all traditions are welcome. Come experience the magic of the Solstice by the sea.

Free will offerings accepted to benefit the work of ICEJ - the Interfaith Coalition for Earth Justice.

Fire Ritual:

- Intention Setting: Write down what you’re ready to release and what you’re ready to invite in.

- Sacred Fire: Offer both papers to the fire—one to let go, one to bless your new path.

- Release & Manifest: Allow the flames to carry away what no longer serves you and ignite the intentions you’re ready to bring forth.
